Other funds sought, approved for infrastructure upgrades
TELL CITY - The Perry County Port Authority Board of Directors adopted a resolution at a regular meeting Nov. 14 they hope will lead to the issuance of $2.2 million in revenue bonds that will help finance upgrades to bridges and track to handle 286,000-pound rail cars.
"This is not county-backed in any way," county attorney Chris Goffinet explained. "It doesn't impact the county's debt limit."
