Blaze damages Cannelton business; troopers search fire-damaged home

PERRY COUNTY - Volunteer firefighters, police officers and in one case, the state fire marshal's office, were summoned to separate fires that damaged a Cannelton bar and a rural home. Both blazes remained under investigation Wednesday.

Nearly 20 Cannelton firemen were called to Bulldogs Bar and Grill at 221 S. First Street in Cannelton at 11:42 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters found flames coming from the back of the building, which Assistant Chief John Young said is owned by Chip Schulthise and operated by Amber Fulkerson.
