ST. CROIX – The United States Achievement Academy announced recently that Samantha Binkley of St. Croix was named an All-American Scholar.
The USAA has established the All-American Scholar At-Large Award program to offer recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3 or higher grade-point average. Binkley, a student at Perry Central Junior-Senior High School, will appear in the All-American Scholar At-Large Yearbook, which is published nationally.
“Recognizing and supporting our youth is more important than ever before in America’s history. Certainly, student recognized as All-American Scholars should be congratulated and appreciated for their dedication to excellence and achievement,” George Stevens, founder of the United State Achievement Academy said.
Binkley is the daughter of Jerry and Jennifer Binkley of St. Croix. Her grandparents are Darrow and Barbara Ross of Tell City, Geraldine Binkley of Cecelia, Ky., and the late Ken Binkley.
