The benefits of recycling. . .

-A A +A

The sixth grade student council at William Tell Elementary has partnered with Perry County Junior Women and Perry County Recycling to collect plastic lids to make the first recycled bench for the school’s playground.

Pictured with the bench are a few of the student council members. Sitting, from the left, are Sydney Robbins, Samantha Stephens and Callie Pfeiffer. Standing are Nathan Mathena and Anthony Dauby. The bench was made from 400 pounds of recycled plastic lids.  If you would like to help with this project by saving plastic lids for future benches, the lids can be given to any William Tell Elementary student, employee or may be dropped off at the school between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
