Beef nutrition to be discussed at Jan. 29 program

TELL CITY – Perry County's Purdue Extension program will sponsor a meeting on beef nutrition Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Perry County 4-H Fairgrounds. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 8:30.

Margie Zoglmann, Extension educator for agriculture and natural resources will be the speaker for this program. The program will look at basic nutrition information for the beef herd, utilizing alternative feedstuffs and basic ration formulation.

This program is the second program in a series of beef management programs taking place this winter at the fairgrounds. The cost for each of the programs is $5, payable at the door. Light refreshments will be provided.

To assist with determining the number of handouts needed for the program, people attending are asked to call the extension office at 547-7084. If no one is in the office, names of people attending can be left on the telephone-answering system.
