Beard, Zuelly make All-SW Indiana

EVANSVILLE - Tell City’s Spenser Beard and Trent Zuelly were named to the Evansville Courier & Press’ All-Southwestern Indiana baseball team Sunday.

Beard, selected as one of the team’s three starting outfielders, led Tell City with a .451 batting average, 31 runs scored and a school-record 28 stolen bases.

He tied Trent Rainey for the Marksmen’s RBI lead with 22.

Zuelly, who played mostly second base for Tell City this year after playing shortstop the previous season, was named the All-Southwestern Indiana team’s utility player.

He hit .448 with 19 runs and 21 RBIs for the Marksmen.

He also had five doubles, three triples and one home run, and he stole nine bases.
