Beaches closed for the season; forest programs planned

PERRY COUNTY – German Ridge and Tipsaw Lake beaches in the Hoosier National Forest have closed for the season. The campground concessionaires at Tipsaw and Celina Campgrounds will host their annual Halloween campout the weekend of Oct. 5-7.

The Hoosier National Forest will host a program about bats the evening of Oct. 6 at 8 p.m.

The Rickenbaugh House at Celina Lake will be open for viewing Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.
