Band with local ties vying for spot in Battle of The Bands contest

PERRY COUNTY – Unforgettable Summer, a new alternative rock band from Indianapolis, is competing for a chance to participate in Rockin River City Ride battle at Casino Aztar. Two band members, Bryce Schneider and Ian Schneider, have local ties with Tell City and Cannelton.

They are the sons of Burke and Judy Hagerdon Schneider, who are 1972 graduates of Tell City High School and the grandsons of Ray and Louise Hagerdon, Lois Schneider May and the late Charles Schneider.
The band members are asking Perry County and Tell City Junior-Senior High School for their support. The top five bands with the most votes will earn a chance to compete for a battle set for April 21 at Casino Aztar. So far, 13 bands have registered. To vote and help the band, log onto www.rockinrivercity ride.org and vote for Unforgettable Summer until March 1. Votes are limited to one per device and can be made on any computer, smart phone, e-reader or other electronic device.
The band has been playing together for the past six years in the Indianapolis area and last summer competed in the Owensboro Battle of the Bands.
