BRETZVILLE – Purdue Extension will again host the annual Southwest Indiana Crop Seminar from 12:25 to 3 p.m. EST March 6 at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds in Bretzville.
Private Applicator, Commercial Applicator and Certified Crop Advisor credits will be provided – PARP participants must bring their PARP card and $10, as well as attend the entire seminar for credit. Major topics will include manure-fertilizer regulation changes, mini-bulk tank regulation concerns, cover crop and tile drainage, climate trends, herbicide resistance and the 2013 agriculture economic outlook.
There is no charge to attend, and additional information is available by contacting the Purdue Extension – Dubois County office at (812) 482-1782. All area crop producers are encouraged to spend the day with industry and university folks to discuss production, economic and regulatory issues key to the industry.
