TELL CITY - The Perry County Chamber of Commerce announces the nominations for the 2009 Chamber Award Dinner. Awards are given in four categories:
• Large-business award - McDonald's and Nobles IGA.
• Small business and entrepreneur awards - Advanced Rehabilitation Physical Therapy, Celebrations, Cromwell Radio Group and Maurices.
• Applause award - Catholic Charities Tell City, Glenn Wood Hills Camp and Retreat Center, Leadership Perry County and United Way of Perry County.
The award winners will be chosen by an independent panel consisting of last year's winners and will be announced at the eighth annual Chamber Awards Dinner today at the Schergens Center.
Guest speakers will be Mayor Smokey Graves with an update on Cannelton, Tony Hollinden with a greenway and health initiative update and Gary Dauby with an update on county issues.
Dinner sponsors are Domtar, Perry County Community Foundation, Perry County Memorial Hospital, Thyssen-Krupp Waupaca, PSC, Perry County Memorial Hospital, First State Bank, ATTC Manufacturing Old National Bank, Fischer's Furniture & Appliance, Michael Elaman CPA, Southern Indiana Power and Tell City Electric Department.
