Alice Thorn, 78

TOBINSPORT – Alice D. Thorn, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills in Tell City.

She was born in Tobinsport June 6, 1933, daughter of the Earl and Verna (Miller) Ahl.  Also preceding her in death were her husband, John William “Bill” Thorn; her brothers, Earl “Rue,” Kenneth and Leon “Bing” Ahl and a grandson, John Williams.
Alice retired from General Electric and attended Clayton Harris Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music, dancing and horses.
Surviving are her daughters, Betty McBrayer (Randy) of Cannelton and Earla Williams (Jim) of Tobinsport; her sons, Mike Thorn of Tobinsport and Sam Thorn of Rome; grandchildren Kyria Christison, Kori Woods, Logan Williams, Ashley Thorn and Billy Thorn and great-grandchildren Kailee Zuelly, Donovan Ingle, Adrian Thorn, Athea Woods and Rylan Christison.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport.  Pastor Paul Alvey officiated.
