Alfred Helms to speak at Mount Zion Christian Church Sunday

SANTA CLAUS – Mount Zion Christian Church in Santa Claus will finish celebrating its 175th anniversary homecoming Sunday with speaker Brother Alfred Helms.
Helms will provide the morning message and Jim Hutson of Columbus will perform special music during the service.
Services start at 10 a.m. and Sunday school is at 9 a.m. Mount Zion Christian Church is two miles South of Santa Claus on Indiana 245.
Helms served at Mount Zion 1969 to 1976. He and his wife, Janet, reside in Alfordsville. They have three children.
Helms started preaching in 1966 and has served with several Christian churches in southern Indiana.
He has worked with several Christian missions, including the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission and the Open Arms Christian Home in Switz City, where he served as director of public relations and development. He is currently the minister at Parkview Christian church in Plainville. Hutson is formerly a member of The Woodsmen Quartet.
The community is invited to join the congregation Sunday as the “Little White Church on Top of the Hill” just south of Santa Claus celebrates.
