TELL CITY – 4-H has a long, rich history in Perry County. For the past 100 years, 4-H youth have been learning life skills. In its beginning, 4-H’ers learned basic techniques of everyday life. Sewing, gardening, canning and all aspects of farm life were the main projects offered.
Today, those basic life skills are still taught, but the projects offered are much broader. Members can now also choose projects such as aerospace, crafts, scrapbooking, genealogy and photography. Currently, Perry County 4-H has 314 members working on 1,138 projects.
