4-H Fair events begin Saturday

-A A +A

While an opening ceremony to this year’s fair won’t happen for over a week, opening events of this year’s Perry County 4-H Fair will kick off this Saturday with a tractor show and a big tractor and truck pull in the fairgrounds arena.

Activities Saturday will begin at 4 p.m. with the tractor show. A fashion show revue is set for 5. A kids tractor pull will begin at 6:30 and it will lead into the tractor and truck pull at 7 p.m.

Admission Saturday afternoon and evening will be $7 per person, with children 9 and younger admitted free. Also, 4-H members wearing their 2017 T-shirts will be admitted at no cost. No admission charge will be held during the remainder of the fair thanks to support from local sponsors.

The rest of the fair’s activities will begin Friday, July 14, with an opening ceremony at noon. Livestock shows will begin that afternoon and will continue Sunday.
