20-year sentence given in meth case

TELL CITY – A Perry County man has been ordered to serve 20 years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Damon McCallister, 28, of 10285 German Ridge Road, Cannelton, was sentenced Feb. 13 on a Class A felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine. In addition to the 20 years in prison, McCallister will serve seven years of probation once released.

McCallister and Roger Alvey were arrested in April at 508 19th St., after a tip about a suspicious odor was reported to police.
