TELL CITY—Tell City High School’s national championship cheerleading squads will be honored at halftime of the Marksmen’s varsity basketball game with South Spencer Jan. 18, 2014.
Tell City won the Cheerleaders of America varsity non-mount national titles in 1991, ’92 and ’94.
Several members of those squads overlapped so all three squads have been invited. Invitations have been mailed across the country trying to reach squad members (they are spread from California to Florida).
A reception honoring the squads will be held at the Post Restaurant on Main Street following the game. The community is welcome to attend and celebrate with the squads.
