TELL CITY—A lack of hitting and some errors hurt Tell City’s age-14 Babe Ruth baseball all-stars as they lost the first two games of their double-elimination tourney last weekend.

Hunter Herzog hit a double for Tell City’s only hit in a 13-2 first-round loss to South Gibson Friday.

Brian Arnold pitched the first two innings for Tell City to take the loss and Larry Holman pitched the last three innings.

Herzog hit a double and a single in Tell City’s next game but the local team lost to Vincennes 14-7.
